Niagara Orleans Model Railroad Engineers, Inc.

. . . . . . . .

When NOMRE (also known as NOME) was founded over 37 years ago by a small group of model railroad fans, the founding members wanted to promote all aspects of the hobby of model railroading. In order to allow members to participate, it was decided that modular layouts were most appropriate, as it would allow configuration changes for different show locations. To accomplish this goal, N-Scale members adopted NTRAK standards, while HO-Scale members, having no “recognized national standard” in their own scale, developed their own standards. Both scales have continually practiced and refined these standards over time. As a result, new members may construct modules with their own theme, and connect with existing modules. In the case of N-Scale, this also includes participation at any national or international events invoking the NTRAK standards of design and construction.

Just a word about the color, Orange and Black are the club colors, therefore the Orange background. Web master.
